The Sahasra Deepika Spelling Bee was held on January 23, 2010 at Basavanagudi Girls High School Auditorium in Bangalore. Forty five of the fifty 9th standard finalists competed in an event that kept the audience riveted to their seats. On Sunday, March 8, fifty employees from the management team of HSBC Global Sourcing in Bangalore, led by City Manager Chris Rogers, spent a fun-filled afternoon with the children at Sahasra Deepika Institute. Calling Sahasra Deepika a "truly inspirational place," Mr. Rogers lit the lamp to inaugurate their commitment to helping Sahasra Deepika. Read more about their visit here.

Employees from Brady Company India inaugurated their CSR program, HOPE, at Sahasra Deepika in February. The children had a great time playing games and participating in contests arranged by the volunteers.
